Whether you are a traditional or non-traditional bride you’ll want to check out these bridal gown trends. I love the fact that old school rules are being thrown out of the window and instead we are seeing more practical, stylish and bold designs going down the aisle in 2022.
Not to worry, popular ballroom and timeless lace wedding dresses will stand the test of time but there are now more options for our modern day brides or “new-age brides” to look forward to.
1. Bridal Two Pieces
Why settle for a one piece when you can wear two? I love the idea of two pieces for the simple reason that you can go down the aisle in the same top portion for your ceremony and switch into a completely different bottom portion for your reception. You can keep the formality of a skirted gown while walking down the aisle but the switch into pant or shorter skirting to comfortably dance the night away at your reception. You can eliminate guests stepping on your train as well as constantly having to hoist up your dress to maneuver around for the entirety of your wedding day festivities.

I love when old fashion trends make a major comeback! This particular one goes way back to the Victorian era so think Bridgerton and channel it. You are bound to make a statement with this trend especially if you are a bride that is stylish, daring and fashion forward. You’ll definitely turn heads as you walk down the aisle “wedding marching” to the beat of your own drum.
3. Floral Accents
We’ve always seen floral detailing incorporated in lace over the years but in 2022 you will see wedding dresses with floral applications that are literally leaping off of gowns in 3D style. This trend is perfect for a Spring time wedding or a Summer garden/outdoor wedding.
4. Fancy Feathers
Picture the glamour of the “Roaring 20s” or the elegance of “Old Hollywood Glam” this is the vibe of this wedding dress trend. It’s also the perfect style for weddings during the Winter months.

Remember when it used to be in forbidden to show any type of skin on your wedding day? Brides of the past would even wear long gloves to cover their hands and arms. Not today’s brides! You’ll see lots of deep v-necklines and sexy silhouette dresses with illusion mesh and lace in 2022.

Step into 2022, showcasing lots of legs, with thigh-high slits. This wedding dress trend allows you to strut those legs that you’ve been working so hard on toning during your workouts leading up to your big day. You did all of that work in to gym to be snatched on your wedding day so hiding those legs under your wedding dress is not an option! Not to mention, those fabulous designer shoes are waiting to make their debut instead of being hidden under massive amounts of tulle.

Just remember, although they may all be white (sometimes ivory), just know that you have many options when it comes to saying yes to your dress.
